While dressing up like your favorite super hero may seem a little strange outside of Halloween, nothing is stopping you from dressing like their alter egos. Some of the most popular superheroes know exactly how to dress with class. A chic suit, stylish tie, well-polished shoes, and a handsome smile leave the girls swooning. Bruce Wayne, Tony Stark, and Clark Kent are all examples of popular heroes who continue to grace the big screen with their good looks. While their personalities are far from similar, they all know about style.
Tony Stark, the genius, billionaire, playboy, and philanthropist always dresses to the nines. Seen as more than a little pretentious, particularly in the newer films, he always has the finest of everything. He loves his parties, fast cars, and beautiful women. Strutting his way through life, when he isn’t being Iron Man, he is often seen in a pressed black tuxedo. With his taste for high class, he is always stylish. Even when doing a weapons demonstration deep in the deserts of Afghanistan, he is dressed in a full suit and tie – and let’s be honest, he pulls it off wonderfully. Robert Downey Jr. plays the part perfectly with the right amount of snark, wit, and charm. And no one can say that the man doesn’t rock a fine tuxedo.
Bruce Wayne, while equally as wealthy as Stark, is a completely different character. Personality wise, they are as different as day and dark knight. What they do have in common is their business savvy sides and their sense of style. A high priced single breasted tuxedo jacket is everyday attire. Wayne also seems to have an affinity for pinstripes. He plays the part of CEO of Wayne enterprises very well.
A highly charitable man, he is always donating to worthy causes and making appearances at important events. Though he ends up in the paper a lot due to his good deeds, he never seems to strive to get there. Unlike Stark, his alter ego often seems to be more of a mask than his Batman attire. While he is not nearly as flashy as Stark, he still certainly knows how to dress. The likelihood that Bruce Wayne owns a pair of jeans seems very slim. Like his Batman suit, he seems to prefer being clad in black.
Extremely different in personality and bravado, Clark Kent is not a billionaire, but he still manages to dress in style. While Stark and Bruce make the papers, Clark writes them. This mild-mannered reporter for the Daily Planet is a typical good guy. He is a hard worker, loyal, devoted, and is there when he is needed. Not fighting for vengeance or recognition, he is just looking to help out. His everyday attire is a classic suit and tie. While he isn’t necessarily wearing an expensive designer brand tuxedo suit, the look works for him. When there is trouble, all he needs is a phone booth. Him pushing aside the tie and ripping open his white tuxedo shirt to reveal that bold S, is enough to get any girl’s heart racing. This can be easily mirrored by everyday guys, to pull off a highly appealing look. There is just something about a guy in a suit.
You may not be able to mimic their actions or afford their cool gadgets, but their looks are not out of reach. Next time you consider dressing up as your favorite superhero, consider their alter ego. Any of these looks are guaranteed to get you a few looks of your own.
