Red Carpet Fashions from the Roast of Justin Bieber

Red Carpet Fashions from the Roast of Justin Bieber
On Saturday, March 14, Justin Bieber got his Comedy Central roast.  The event was actually something Bieber asked for, and it was held in honor of his 21st birthday (although it was a late gift since his birthday was March 1).  Kevin Hart served as the roastmaster.  Celebrities who took turns roasting Beiber included Hannibal Buress, Martha Stewart, Jeffrey Ross, Snoop (Dogg) Lion, Ludacris, Chris D’Elia, Shaquille O’Neal, Pete Davidson, and Natasha Leggero.  In addition to getting in their digs on the young singer, celebrities took the opportunity to show off the latest additions to their wardrobes. How Justin Bieber Set the Stage

All eyes were on the Biebs, of course, and some probably expected to see him in saggy pants and a T-shirt.  But he selected a tailored blue suit, a nice white collar non-pleated tuxedo shirt, and a simple black tie for the occasion.  Some commentators felt he was a little too reserved in his outfit, especially since it so closely matched the stage background.  He did add a splash of color with his pink and red striped socks, though.  While some celebrities haven’t always seemed to enjoy their roast, Bieber laughed and smiled during many of the jokes.  He even returned a few during his speech at the end, which many describe as surprisingly heartfelt. While Bieber’s outfit was subdued, Snoop Lion (as the artist formerly known as Snoop Dogg is now going by), mixed skinny jeans with a shirt that featured a printed design on the sleeves.  He topped it off with a grey checkered bowtie, necklace, and a pair of black Chuck Taylors.  It may not have been black tie, but it was unique.

Other Comedians Caught People’s Attention, Too

Actress/comedian Natasha Leggero chose a cute, knee-length rose gold sleeveless dress for the occasion.  The shiny fabric caught the light, and her shoes perfectly matched the dress.  She added a few simple bracelets to complete her look. Comedian Fortune Feimster continued the tradition of women looking amazing in suits with her silver tuxedo jacket, black shirt, and black tie.  She wasn’t on the stage this time around, but she certainly enjoyed her time in the audience, sending out several Tweets about the event. Kevin Hart got in his own digs on Bieber while introducing the other roasters and making sure the roast didn’t get too out of hand.  He did so while wearing all black – black jacket, shirt, pants, shoes… everything.  But the fact that it was all tailored and fit perfectly made it look great, of course. Basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal had a great time on stage, laughing at many of the jokes and taking his own time in making fun of the guest of honor.  He wore a pair of black formal tuxedo pants, white shirt, and a black jacket with white spots all over it.  He topped it off with a black tie that had white stripes in it. The Roast of Justin Bieber will air on March 30, 2015, on Comedy Central.
