Boys Tuxedo Size Chart (2T–16) | Wedding & Ring Bearer Guide
Finding the right fit starts with using a proper boys tuxedo size chart. Our size chart covers boys tuxedo sets in sizes 2T through 16 and includes chest, sleeve length, shoulder width, pants length, and adjustable waist range measurements. For the most accurate fit, always use chest measurement as your primary guide rather than age.
How to Measure Your Son
Measure your son's chest first. Wrap a soft tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, just under the armpits, keeping it level and snug but not tight. Write that number down before looking at the chart.
If your son falls between two sizes, always size up. The elastic waistband in the pants accommodates approximately one inch of flexibility in each direction, but jacket shoulders cannot be easily altered. A slightly larger jacket is always preferable to one that is too snug across the shoulders.

Sizing for Upcoming Weddings & Growth
If your event is more than 6–8 weeks away, consider sizing up if your child is between sizes. Boys ages 4–10 can grow quickly, especially during spring and summer months.
For events within 4 weeks, order based strictly on current chest measurement. Do not size up for near-term events, as oversized jackets photograph poorly and look boxy in formal settings.
If unsure, choose the size that fits best in the shoulders. Sleeves and pants can be hemmed; shoulders cannot be easily altered.
Common Boys Tuxedo Sizing Questions
What measurement matters most for tuxedo fit?
Chest measurement determines jacket fit and is the most important measurement.
Should I size up for a ring bearer tuxedo?
Only size up if the event is more than two months away or your child is between sizes.
Are these body measurements or garment measurements?
These are garment measurements. Compare them to a well-fitting jacket your child already owns for best results.
Can tuxedo pants be altered?
Yes. Pants can be hemmed and adjusted at the waist within the elastic range. Jacket shoulders cannot be easily altered.
