The annual Golden Globe Awards are one of our favorite red-carpet events. Aside from letting the Hollywood Foreign Press Association give us some major hints on which celebs might take home Oscars later this year, we get to see all of our favorite A-listers and promising up-and-comers looking nothing short of amazing. Whether they opt for timeless, elegant silhouettes or daring, statement-making choices, they always entertain. So who looked the best at the 2014 awards, and who has a track record of bringing serious style to the ceremony every year? Check out some of the outfits we feel deserve their own trophies!
2014
This past Sunday night, we tuned in to see some of our favorite stars looking more gorgeous than ever at the 71
st annual Golden Globes in Beverly Hills. In particular, comedic
co-hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were a pair of hotties in their strapless, form-fitting gowns. Young talent Jennifer Lawrence (seriously, it's hard to believe she's only 23!) looked stunning in her
black and white Dior gown. She took home her second Globe this year for her performance in
American Hustle. Expectant mom and "Scandal" actress
Kerry Washington, nominated for Best Actress in a Television Series (Drama), rocked her elegant white Balenciaga dress. Is the first-time-mom-to-be even capable of looking bad? We don't think so. She is always radiant!
The unofficial "cutest guy" award of the evening may go to the down-to-earth Matt Damon, who was a good sport about the many jokes made at his expense and rocked a classic
black tuxedo and heart-melting smile. His wife, Argentine beauty Luciana Bozán Barroso, is one lucky lady! Then again, Best Performance by an Actor (Drama) winner Matthew McConaughey also looked handsome in his timeless black tux and flattering
tuxedo vest. Either of these dapper guys could give Jared Leto a few hairdo hints, though we're pretty sure the fans from "My So-Called Life" days couldn't care less what he does with those dirty-blonde tresses!

Our Favorites from Years Past
Last year's clear red-carpet winners were triple threat performer and "American Idol" judge
Jennifer Lopez in her jaw-dropping, curve-hugging Zuhair Murad gown, and the always-amazing
Halle Berry, who pulled off an unusual Atelier Versace number that showed off her signature fabulous figure. Whether she's giving an Oscar-winning performance in a serious role or just having fun as a bikini-clad Bond girl, Halle always looks flawless on film—and she brings her beauty and style to every awards ceremony and press event. We also loved the general trend toward
bold, jewel-toned gowns at the 2011 awards ceremony, especially two brilliant brunettes, funny-girl Mila Kunis and multiple-Globe-recipient Angelina Jolie, in emerald green. And while we're used to seeing him in fairly bizarre garb due to the eccentric characters he's celebrated for portraying, it's always nice to see hunky mega-star Johnny Depp in a tuxedo and formal jewelry (not that we don't love him as a pirate, too.)
Will these stylish celebs be able to top their 2014 looks at next year's ceremony? Guess we'll just have to wait and see!
