The hotter months of the year provide plenty of vacation times and events. Friends and family often pull off all the stops to throw a big bash. From Memorial Day to a dear friend's wedding, you're schedule is sure to be packed with a supreme amount of formal events. The thought alone is most likely causing you to sweat, and you're not even there yet. Don't fret, gentlemen. There are plenty of options to keep cool without shedding an ounce of style. Your all black attire will retain a tremendous amount of heat. You will be swimming in a pool of sweat before the event has officially begun. Opt for a white tuxedo if you are ready to take the complete formal wear plunge. [caption id="attachment_2254" align="aligncenter" width="213"]A dinner jacket provides style and comfort in the heat. A summer favorite since the 1930's, the dinner jacket provides an easy escape from the heat while allowing wearers to retain an elegant look. The white dinner jacket is a staple of summer evening events. Make it yours this summer. [caption id="attachment_2258" align="aligncenter" width="294"]Keep cool with in 100% cotton. Find shirts made of 100% cotton for the coolest experience at your next event. Cotton is a a very breathable fabric that allows for a supreme amount of air circulation and is very light in weight, essential for summertime. Avoid layers in the summer. This is not the key time to wear multiple formal wear accessories. Steer clear of extras like vests or cummerbunds. Keep things simple but engaging with a colored or patterned tie (bow ties are currently quite popular) and a matching pocket square. This gives you the chance to bring a small sampling of style and elegant flair without going overboard. Remember, summer is about keeping this light. Look and feel fresh in light colored tuxedos and dinner jackets. Wear breathable fabrics like cotton when choosing your tuxedo shirts. Just follow these guidelines and you'll be on your way to a summer full of cool and sophisticated style.
